Mary has been a registered nurse for 30 years and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University. Her nursing experience includes: neonatal intensive care, adult intensive care and emergency nursing. In 2002, she graduated with a Master’s of Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Arlington as an adult nurse practitioner. In order to improve her management and care of patients with diabetes, Mary became a certified diabetic educator in 2010. To stay current and competent in the ever increasing complexity of the health care industry, she entered the doctoral program at Texas Woman’s University and graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2015. Mary moved to Terrell from Garland when she married her husband over thirty years ago. They have a grown daughter and son in law who live in Arlington. In her spare time, Mary enjoys reading, baking and working in her butterfly and rose garden.
